A Two-Day Professional Development Programme for Educational Staff
Children do not arrive at school as behaviours to be managed. They arrive carrying experiences, relationships, stresses, losses and stories that shape how they engage with learning, adults and their peers.
Beyond Behaviour:
Across two highly interactive training days, participants will explore:
- How stress, trauma and adversity impact children’s nervous systems and behaviour.
- The Three Levels of Perception Framework: Body, Mind and Reflective Presence.
- Why regulation must come before reasoning.
- How relationships become the primary vehicle for emotional safety and resilience.
- Practical strategies for responding to dysregulation without escalating conflict.
- The Shoreline Framework as a model for professional boundaries, emotional containment and staff wellbeing.
- Developing a whole-school culture that balances high expectations with relational practice.
- Reflective leadership approaches that reduce burnout and strengthen staff resilience.
